School district named ‘Academically High Performing’ district in state

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — At its Sept. 15 meeting, the State Board of Education designated the School District of Indian River County as one of the 2009-2010 Academically High-Performing School Districts in the State of Florida, based on the latest release of school and district grades.

The School District of Indian River County is one of only 21 districts in the state to successfully meet all eligibility criteria.

“A great deal of hard work, dedication, and determination from our teachers, administrators, and staff, as well as our students, made this possible,” said Superintendent Harry La Cava. “Everyone is to be commended for their efforts. We will continue to work together to achieve excellence in the School District of Indian River County.”
