Lois Ann Bowen, 74, died Aug. 24, 2009, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Winchester, Ind., and lived in Vero Beach for 13 years, coming from Muncie, Ind.
She was a member of Delta Theta Tau in Winchester, Nassau Swim Club and the Delaware Country Club, both in Muncie, and Grand Harbor Country Club in Vero Beach. She graduated from Winchester High School in 1951. She was a graduate of the Christian College in Columbia, Mo., and Ball State University in Muncie. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Richard; and son, John Bowen, of Port Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Richard Bowen.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 27 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A service will be at noon Aug. 28 in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
