INDIAN RIVER COUNTY – The Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program is seeking submissions lagoon wildlife, scenery or recreation and artwork may be featured in the 2010 Indian River Lagoon calendar.
All entries must have been taken within the Indian River Lagoon watershed, which extends from Ponce De Leon Inlet in Volusia County to Jupiter Inlet in Palm Beach County. Popular subjects include wildlife and plants, however past winners have turned their cameras to the many different types of lagoon recreational opportunities, children’s activities, scenic vistas, underwater photos and lagoon landmarks.
Photographers, either amateur or professional, may submit up to three photographs for consideration. Images must be in landscape format only. Entries must be 5-by-7-inch or 8-by-10-inch quality prints or high-resolution (300 dpi) digital files. Thirty images will be selected for inclusion in the calendar, which will be made available fall of 2009.
Entries must be postmarked by July 31, 2009, and accompanied by a signed application, which details entry requirements and limitations.
