William E. Holland, 73, of Vero Beach, died July 5, 2009. He was born in Lamont and lived in Vero Beach for most of his life.
He graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1954 and was a party chief for local land surveying companies. Most recently he was maintenance supervisor at the Life For Youth Camp, where he served on the board of directors for 40 years. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Donna; daughters, Marilyn S. Holland and Alicia J. Center; brother, Joe Holland; sisters, Virginia Holland, Margaret Howard and Martha Parent; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Karen L. Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Life For Youth Camp, 1416 82nd Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32966. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. July 8 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. July 9 at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Winter Beach Cemetery, Winter Beach.
