County to offer virtual school meeting for parents July 13

COUNTY — Full time virtual instruction is now offered as a school of choice to families in Indian River County, whose students attended public school during the 2008-2009 school year.   The School District will be hosting a parent information session on Monday, July 13, at 6:15 p.m. in the School Board meeting room at the District office which is located at 1990 25th Street, Vero Beach.    The meeting will focus on grades K-5 and include a virtual information session from Connections Academy.The School District of Indian River County is pleased to announce its affiliation with Florida Virtual School’s Connections Academy (FLVSCA).    Florida Virtual School has been providing virtual instruction to students in grades 6-12 throughout the State of Florida since 1997. Their partnership with Connections Academy expands the coursework offered to students in kindergarten through fifth grades.
