Joan Wilson Tuttle, 67, Vero Beach

Joan Wilson Tuttle, 67, died Jan. 15, 2010, at her home in Vero Beach.

She was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Vero Beach for three years after relocating from Scottsdale, Ariz. Joan was a graduate of the St. Mary’s School, Peekskill, N.Y., and Finch College, New York, N.Y.

She was employed by The Vanguard Group in Scottsdale before retiring in 2006.

She was a member of The Community Church, Vero Beach. She was a long-time member of various Junior Leagues and of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include her mother, Annabelle McCarthy, of Vero Beach; daughter, Sarah Tuttle Horner (Bill), of Woodstown, N.J.; son, David Kitchell Tuttle III (Melanie), of Westminster, Colo.; sister, Lee Wilson Albro (R. Bruce), of Vero Beach and Essex, Conn.; and 4 grand children.

She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Marguerite Brandt Wilson, and her father, Webster Hill Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer/Parkinson Foundation of Indian River County, 2501 27th Ave, Vero Beach, FL 32960, the Humane Society of Vero Beach, PO Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32961, or to the charity of one’s choice.
