McKee Botanical Garden celebrates Community Appreciation Day Saturday

VERO BEACH – McKee Botanical Garden is hosting Community Appreciation Day on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To show our appreciation to the community for their past support and to give those individuals and families who have not had a chance to visit the Garden an opportunity to see what we are all about, we are offering a special $1 admission for this one day.

In addition, we will be offering $10 off a new annual membership to the Garden which includes a 10 percent discount at the Garden Gift and Book Shop. A membership at McKee also gives you free admission to all of our events including Holidays at McKee, Nights of Lights, the 9th Annual Motor Car Exhibition “British and European,” Garden & Antique Show, 8th Annual Fairy & Pirate Festival, and the 14th Annual Waterlily Celebration. In addition, members will enjoy the It’s A Jungle Out There! exhibition on display at McKee starting Nov. 4 and running through April 29. We are also hosting a special HO Model Train display on April 13 through 15.

Become a member of McKee today and start enjoying our beautiful botanical collections, breathtaking orchids, and towering palm trees that are nestled among the winding pathways and tranquil streams and waterfalls, as well as the historic Hall of Giants and Spanish Kitchen. There is always something new in bloom at McKee.

McKee is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was awarded the 2016 Certificate of Excellence Award from Trip Advisor, the 2016 “Best Local Attraction” and “Best Local Tours” by Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers/TC Palm, and was recognized as one of the “Top 10 Most Beautiful Gardens That Florida Has to Offer” by TripsToDiscover.com.

We want to give individuals and families from our community and beyond a chance to come enjoy all of the wonders of McKee and hope they will become a member so that they can return as often as they like throughout the year,” stated Executive Director Christine Hobart.
