Charles C. Morrison, 71, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 12, 2016.
He is survived by his sons Edward Morrison (Susan) of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Roger Morrison(Kathy) of Vero Beach; daughter April Fredell (Ryan) of Roseland, Fla.; sisters Maude Beasley of Mt. Vernon, Ga., Cynthia Bohannon of Vero Beach, Bertha Edge, of Mt. Vernon, Ga.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Clifford Morrison and Alice Teate; and brother-in-laws, Mark Bohannon and Floyd Beasley.
Morrison was born Oct. 20, 1944, in Vero Beach to Alice Teate, and Clifford Morrison. He had lived in Indian River County for most of his life.
He was a musician from the time he was 16, when he got his first guitar and taught himself how to play. He was a member of the Orioles of Micco. He also enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
A service will be held at The First Baptist Church of Fellsmere on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 12 p.m. with Pastor David Johns officiating and Deacon Derek Lewis. There will be a dinner held at the church immediately following the service.
