VERO BEACH — An elderly female driver was transported to a trauma center with a possible broken leg after a crash that ended with her car in a canal near 35th Ave., according to authorities.
The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. today, temporarily affecting traffic on 16th Street. Another car with a pregnant woman and a small child was reportedly involved, according to witnesses at the scene.
The 82-year-old driver was being transported to Lawnwood Regional Trauma Center. The identities of the drivers have not been released.
