John T. Rodgers, 50, Vero Beach

John T. Rodgers, 50, died Oct. 25, 2012, at home. He was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Vero Beach for five years, coming from Broward County.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Old Dominion University in Virginia.

He worked in the investment banking industry.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach and attended the Community Church of Vero Beach.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Rebecca Rodgers, of Vero Beach; sons, John Robert Rodgers and Charles Ferguson Rodgers, both of Vero Beach; mother, Sylvia Rodgers, of Vero Beach; sisters, Ann Guanci, of Melrose, Mass., and Mary Henley, of Dulles, Va.

He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Rodgers.

Memorial contributions may be made to any Sun Trust Bank, care of Ann Guanci, for the benefit of the Rodgers Children Education Fund.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at the Community Church Chapel of Vero Beach.

Arrangements are by the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
