Floyd Perry Walters, 88, died Feb. 12, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Greensboro, N.C., and lived in Vero Beach since 2011, coming from Greensboro.
He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946.
Before his retirement, he was the manager of the U.S. Post Office on Tate Street and then Guilford College Station, Greensboro, N.C.
He was a member of the Greensboro Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was a lifelong member of College Place United Methodist Church, Greensboro.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lucy Vaughan Walters; son, Lawrence J. Walters, of Vero Beach; daughter, Martha Dawn Walters, of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren and one and great-grandchild.
Services will be at a later date in Greensboro, N.C.
