VERO BEACH — Swingsation’s 14th Avenue Dance Studio is proud to announce the incorporation of permanent Zumba classes into their current curriculum. Four local established instructors have been selected to teach the classes who include Lucy Church, Lena Santos, Darlene Heglund and Tiffany Kleckner. Classes will be held every Monday to Friday at 9 a.m., 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., and Saturday at 9 a.m.
“We opened in March of 2000, and consistently have offered classes in Salsa, Swing, Samba, Argentine Tango, Belly Dancing & Hip Hop,” shares Shari Tessier who co-owns and operates the dance studio with her husband Joe. “While Ballroom dancing does have an added bonus of getting into shape, Zumba focuses on blending in the infectious rhythms of Latin music, making it a perfect fit for our studio.”
To celebrate the new Zumba classes, the Tessiers are inviting interested Zumba dancers to an Open House at their studio on Friday, Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. They are offering a free Zumba class then an open studio from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Open House will give prospective Zumba dancers an opportunity to meet the new instructors and learn more about the classes.
The dance studio is located at 2109 14th Avenue in historic downtown Vero Beach, directly across from the Heritage Center. The first class is free and when you bring a guest you’re both free. Subsequent classes are $5.
