INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Indian River Mall will celebrate Tax Free Weekend and help families gear up for the school year with its annual Back to School Kids Expo presented by Duer Law, The Breeze 97.3 and Jack 99.7 FM on Sat., Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The free event will welcome families with children of all ages to enjoy a fun-filled day of entertainment, back to school fashions and more. Families will be eligible to enter to win school supplies, back packs, school uniforms, gift cards and much more.
“Indian River Mall strives to not only offer great shopping options, but to also serve as a community resource for local families,” said Ursula Gunter, director of marketing and business development at Indian River Mall. “We hope that families will have the opportunity to come out and enjoy a day of fun, while getting the items and information they need to prepare for back to school.”
To kick off the fun, Dillard’s will showcase the latest back to school fashions and help kids learn to identify great apparel that can compliment items already found in their closet. Plus, families will have the opportunity to enjoy great music, prizes and more, while taking advantage of back to school discounts and tax free shopping.
As part of the fun, families will also have the opportunity to learn about the youth-related programs and services available in the community. Representatives from more than 30 local businesses and organizations will be on-site to provide event goers with information. Participating organizations, include Christi’s Family Fitness, Riverside Theatre, Cradles to Crayons, Dermody Pediatric Dentistry and many more.
