Winifred Marie Conti, 90, died April 21, 2011, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Pittsburgh and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Freeport, Pa.
She worked for many years as a clerk for the Freeport post office.
After receiving her licensed practical nurse degree, she worked at Montifore Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach.
She was one of the two founding mothers of the Freeport area Little League.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret A. Crance, of Lakeland; sons, Guy C. Conti, of Vero Beach and Charles T. Conti, of Freeport; sister, Kathryn Lewis, of Denver; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Conti, who was killed in World War II; sister, Rhea Grafton; brother, Ellsworth “Sam” Kissick; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 1850 Sixth Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. April 25 in the Redmond Funeral Home in Freeport.
A service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport at 10 a.m. April 26 with the Rev. James F. Neal officiating.
Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery in Cheswick, Pa.
