Robert Hobart Emerson, 92, died March 23, 2011, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Montabello, Calif., lived in Vero Beach and was formerly of Orlando and Odenton, Md.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Vero Beach.
Before retiring, he was a machinist, working for Nevamar in Odenton and L&M Manufacturing in Orlando.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Harry Emerson, of Dayton, Ohio, Joseph Edward Emerson, of Heathsville, Va., and Glenn Alan Emerson, of Monroe, Mich.; brother, Gilbert Emerson, of Georgia; sister, Genevieve Good, of Felton, Del.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Emerson; and brother, James Emerson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 1150 41st Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A life celebration memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 16 at Grace Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
