Emanuel Smith, 95, of Vero Beach, died Thursday Dec. 30, 2010, in Consulate Health Center of Vero Beach.
He was born on April 1, 1915, in Micanopy.
He has been a longtime resident of Indian River County.
He was a retired minister and church planter of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his son, Eugene Savage, of Fort Pierce; daughters, Gail (Randy) Beasley, Eula (Leon) Barnwell, and Veronica Smith (Curtis) Simpson, all of Vero Beach; a host of grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Smith, sons, Calvin Smith, Matthew Smith, Emanuel Shipley, brother, Calvin Nelson.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Friday Jan. 7, 2011, at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 8, 2011, at Vero Beach Church of Christ, Vero Beach.
Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery, Gifford.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel.
