Edward Moses Miller, 89, died Jan. 5, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Scranton, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach for 11 years, coming from Hillside, N.J.
He served in the Navy during World War II and received a Purple Heart.
He was a union supervisor for the AFL/CIO Carpenters Union in New Jersey for more than 50 years.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
Survivors include his son, Ron Miller, of Vero Beach; daughter, Maureen James, of Vero Beach; brother, Henry M. Miller, of Scranton; sister, Betty Dazinski, of Elkton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Petras; brothers, James, John, Carl and Thomas; sisters, Irene Price and Dorothy Sarnowski.
No services are planned.
