Joseph M. Nevins, 93, died Nov. 30, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Patchogue, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 38 years.
Prior to retirement, he was a professional fundraiser and traveled extensively as a consultant to national charities.
He was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II.
He was a graduate of Louisiana State University.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Marcia Yax Nevins; sons, James Nevins, of Vero Beach and Daniel Nevins, of Indiatlantic Beach; daughters, Elizabeth Casano, of Vero Beach and Maureen McMillan, of St. Petersburg; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 2000 20th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at noon Dec. 4 at St. Helen Catholic Church Christian Living Center.
Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
