Kenneth L. Sealey, 85, died Nov. 8, 2010 at Harbor Chase of Vero Beach.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived in Vero Beach for four years coming from Uniondale, N.Y. He was a career veteran with the United States Navy, serving honorably for 26 yrs, until he retired in 1975.
Well decorated for his service, he was the recipient of the Navy Occupation Service Medal with European Clasp, World War II Victory Medal, Presidential Testimonial Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal five times and the National Defense Service Medal twice.
After retirement, he was employed by Health and Hospital Corporation of New York in Brooklyn, NY, as a stationary fireman until he finally retired in 1990.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, District Council #37 in New York City.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Joyce Sealey, of Vero Beach; two daughters, Jacqueline Sealey, of Vero Beach, and Yvette Williams, of Brooklyn, NY; one son, Nolan Williams, of New York, N.Y.; and one grandson.
A visitation will be 10 a.m. on Nov. 15, 2010 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, where a service will begin at 11 a.m.
Military honors by the United States Navy will immediately follow.
