VERO BEACH – Cause for Paws, the biggest annual fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, will celebrate its 27th Anniversary this year.
Cause for Paws kicks off at the Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club with a gala Preview Party on Tuesday, March 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., enjoyed by major donors. As always, the event will feature a variety of very select silent auction treasures available for bidding and immediate purchase that evening. This more formal part of the two-evening Cause for Paws extravaganza, is graciously hosted by Sally Anderson, JoAnn Becker, Sandy Crowell, Betsy Forrester, Ginny Schwerin, Jean Shropshire and Maria Whittle.
Cause for Paws changes venues to the Vero Beach Museum of Art for the main event, on Saturday, March 19. From 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., huge selections of silent auction items await spirited bidding amid an atmosphere of cocktails and bountiful hors d’oeuvres. The Live Auction featuring enchanting trips, fine art, jewelry, antiques and more to entice the most discerning will commence at 7:45, with Gary Farless, auctioneer.
Admission to Cause for Paws on Saturday, March 19 is $100. Admission to both the Preview Party and Cause for Paws is $200 for Patrons, $350 for Benefactors, $500 for Major Benefactors and $1000 for Silver+ Sponsors.
Proceeds from both events help to provide the necessary care and shelter for our county’s 7,000+ lost, homeless, neglected and abused animals, which will arrive at the Shelter this year. Help us help the animals while enjoying two festive evenings.
