Ernest Charles Schuenzel, 80, died Aug. 4, 2010, at his home in Vero Beach.
He was born in Bronx, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for three years, coming from Homestead, Fla. Schuenzel earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University, Alfred, N.Y.
He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Schuenzel, of Vero Beach; daughters, Christine Carpino, of Omaha, Neb., Kathleen Miller, of Black Mountain, N.C., and Linda Capen, of Vero Beach; son, John Schuenzel, of Miami, Fla; brother, Harold Schuenzel, of Dover, N.J.; nine grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Aug. 10, 2010, at the Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Aug. 11, at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Interment will follow in White City Cemetery, Ft. Pierce.
