Kitty Broom, 86, died Aug. 11, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Steelton, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach since 1977, coming from Baltimore County, Md. She was an inspector for Western Electric. She was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, John Stansbury Broom,; son, Leroy Thompson, of Harford County, Md.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Thompson.
No services are scheduled. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Baltimore County, at a later date. Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
