Donald William Ridenour, 78, of Vero Beach, died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at VNA Hospice House. He was born July 28, 1931, in Union, N.J., and has been a resident of Vero Beach for 16 years, coming from Pompano Beach. Ridenour served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged after eight years of service as Corporal.He was of Catholic Faith. Ridenour was a past president of the Pompano Players and served as an Eagle Scout.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Dorothy M. Ridenour; daughters, Donna McDonald, of Sebastian, and Melissa Maglio, of Vero Beach; sons, Hamilton McDonald, of Sebastian, and Rick Maglio, of Vero Beach; three step-daughters and one step-son; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by first wife, Mary Watson Ridenour, in 1989.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Pompano Beach.
