UPDATED 6:41 p.m.INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The fire that started shortly after 12:30 p.m. west of Interstate 95 near the 154 mile marker was 100% contained at 4:30 p.m. according to the Florida Division of Forestry.
No structures were damaged during the fire but one home, a large power line grid (wood poles), and a hunting camp were threatened.
The fire encompassed 90 acres and was sparked by a bolt of lightning.
Emergency crews responded to the brush fire to combat the fire and assist in traffic control in the event the smoke traveled across I-95.
