William H. Marsden, 92, died July 2, 2010, at Florida Baptist Retirement Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Kansas City, Mo., and lived in Vero Beach for 25 years, coming from Mountain Lakes, N.J.
Before retirement, he was a marketing executive for Sterling Drug Co. He was an Army veteran, serving in World War II as a lieutenant colonel.
He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and played baseball. He was a member and past president of the Pharmaceutical Advertising Council in New York and an avid supporter of the Vero Beach Yacht Club, where he loved to sing and dance.
Survivors include his son, Dennis Marsden of Vero Beach; daughter, Barbara Stephenson of Naperville, Ill,; sister, Dorothy Galyon of Linnville, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Marsden; and son, Terry Marsden.
