Danny Ray Strank, 62, died April 22, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Huntington, W.Va., and lived in Vero Beach since 1999, coming from Palm Bay. He was the owner and operator of Dan Strank Computer Professional in Vero Beach and was the former owner of Data Reliability in Melbourne.
He was a part-time professor at Brevard Community College in the Computer Science Department in the 1990s.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Rollins College in Orlando.
He was a volunteer for the Indian River Medical Center Auxiliary Thrift Store.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Carol Strank of Vero Beach; son, Andy Strank of Melbourne; daughter, Becky Seiler of Spring, Texas; stepdaughter, Kellie Gergely of Tallahassee; brother, Fred Strank of Melbourne; sister, Frances Bryant of Melbourne; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. April 26 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating.
