The Rev. Raymond Coppage, 80, died April 19, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Hahira, Ga., and traveled through his ministry before living in Vero Beach. He was a pastor of King’s Baptist Church for 20 years where he holds the title Pastor Emeritus.
He was an active member of Pioneer Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Velma Coppage of Vero Beach; son, Ray Coppage of Vero Beach; daughters, Deborah Gaffney of Vero Beach, Jennie Berry of Dahlonega, Ga., and Ruth Ross of Waukesha, Wis.; brothers, Edward Coppage of Statesboro, Ga., and Eugene Coppage of Pearson, Ga.; sisters, Ann Ellis of Vero Beach, Nell Ruis of Plano, Texas, and Ginny Bostrom of Pearson, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Andy Ross; brothers, Wayne Coppage and Harry Coppage; and sister, Dorothy Cannon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. April 21 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A funeral service will be at 4 p.m. April 22 at King’s Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory Vero Beach. A guest book is aviailable at strunkfuneralhome.com.
