William Frederick Watson, 75, died April 3, 2010, at Consulate Health Care.
He was born in Cairo, Ill., and moved to Vero Beach in 1958, coming from Illinois. He worked as a welder at Piper Aircraft for 32 years, and in 1971 helped build the first Johnson Sea-Link Submersible at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, Fort Pierce.
Survivors include his daughter, Mitzi Watson of Lake Worth; and son, Buddy Watson of Sebastian.
At the request of the family, there will be no services.
