Margaret Ames Bailey, 62, died April 24, 2010, at the VNA/Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in Batavia, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian for 15 years, coming from Morris County, N.J.
She was a graduate of Batavia High School and held a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She had worked as a legal assistant at the Continuing Education of the Bar in Berkeley, Calif., and was a director of four units with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
She spent several years in advertising with Forbes magazine and worked with JC Penney as an interior decorator and fine jewelry associate.
She was a volunteer with the Humane Society and Vero Beach Opera and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Society of Mayflower Descendants.
Survivors include her husband Patrick T. Bailey of Sebastian; daughter, Lauren Katherine Farah of York, Pa.; sister, Sue Norkeliunas of Hyde Park, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at Pelican Island Wildlife Refuge Viewing Area on Jungle Trail with the Rev. Richard Jones of Sebastian United Methodist Church officiating.
