VERO BEACH — The Senior Resource Association brings back its popular Box Lunch Bingo event, Thursday, March 11 at the Heritage Center this year. Doors open at 11:30 am with the first game starting at noon.
In addition to the fun and games, the event includes a boxed lunch, the famous “Purse Game” and a variety of other BINGO favorites. The “Re-gift Mountain” promises to again attract a lot of attention at the event. It’s a guilt-free opportunity to win some high-value items. Another fun activity – the purse game – is reminiscent of Monty Hall on television asking audience members if they have a certain object in their possession. A 50/50 drawing where guests can win 50 percent of the afternoon drawings’ winnings will also be offered. The bingo event, which attracts over 150 energetic participants, attracts both bingo enthusiasts and novices alike.
The event is sponsored by Ted and Dawn Michael, Marine Bank & Trust, Perkins Medical Supply, Premier Estate Properties, Publix Supermarkets, and Vero Beach Magazine.
Box Lunch Bingo is open to participants of all ages. Advance ticket purchase is recommended, but tickets are also available at the door. Tickets are $80 for 6 Bingo cards or $150 for 12 Bingo cards.
Proceeds from the Box Lunch Bingo event will benefit Senior Resource Association programs including Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Care, Social Entrée Meals, In-Home Services, Senior Center Programs and transportation.
