Patricia “Patty” Thompson, 56, of Sebastian, died at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born May 5, 1953, in St. Charles, Ill., and was a resident of Sebastian for 17 years, coming from South Florida.
Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Miami Jackson Memorials RN program spending much of her career as a homecare nurse. Patty more recently worked with her friends at the Eagles Nest Restaurant after quitting the nursing profession in the mid 90s. She enjoyed watching old black and white movies, throwing back a few at Earls and riding on a Harley when she had the opportunity. Patty had a very soft spot and special quality in relating with animals.
Survivors include her beloved son, Christopher (Floriana) Thompson; and sister, Mary Ann (Bill ) Hilton, of Sebastian, all of whom compassionately loved and cared for her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Adele Reasons; husband, Bud Thompson; and parents, Jack and Izetta Mattison.
Pat wished for no memorial, and requested that donations be made to VNA Hospice Care, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in her honor.
