VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Police Department issued a Crime Alert at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday regarding two white male suspects wanted in connection with a residential burglary Monday at the 1800 block of 25th Avenue in Vero Beach.The resident returned to the home at approximately 10 a.m. to find a gold-colored two-door compact vehicle, which she described as a “clunker” with round headlights, parked in her driveway with the trunk open. She then saw two men coming from her back porch, who said they were looking for a friend. After the suspects fled, the resident found that forced entry had been made into her home and that her electronics were stacked up just inside the door.She discovered that they had already gotten away with a Sony Cybershot camcorder, a Garmin GPS module and a one-carat diamond engagement ring, size 5.The resident was able to take down the license plate, which was Florida issued and number 774 DIV.The Vero PD issued a BOLO alert for the two suspects, with the following descriptions:The first one, the driver of the car, was approximately 30 years old, 6 feet tall, bald shaved, medium build with a tanned complextion. He wore a light-colored T-shirt and long shorts.The second suspect, the passenger, was 17 to 20 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, brown hair, large eyes, thin build and a pale complexion. He wore a light-colored T-shirt and long shorts.Anyone having information regarding these suspects or this burglary should call Detective Jim Kelly at (772) 978-4600 in regard to case number 2009-2189.
