Richard F. Urban, 85, of Vero Beach, Florida, died Friday, June 12, 2009, at his home. He was born April 20, 1924, in Camden, N.J., and moved to Vero Beach 27 years ago, coming from Harrisburg, Pa. Mr. Urban was an U.S. Army Air Corp. veteran of WWII, having earned the Purple Heart. He was a 1949 graduate of Penn State University. Mr. Urban was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.Survivors include his four daughters, Barbara Peters, of Salisbury, Md., Judy MacCully, of Seattle, Susan Cerniglia, of Vero Beach, and Ann Simpson, of Fairfield, Va.; son, Richard F. Urban Jr., of Spring Hill, Tenn.; special friend of 17 years, Marilyn Peters; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Urban was predeceased by his wife, Clare.A memorial mass will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, June 18, at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3375 20th St., Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960, in memory of Mr. Urban.Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas S.
