Joseph J. Jedzinak, 62, of Vero Beach, died Monday, June 15, 2009, at his residence. He was born March 20, 1947 in Bayonne, N.J., and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 21 years, coming from his birthplace. Joseph was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne.He was a pipe designer for many years in New Jersey and upon moving to Vero Beach became a clam farmer in the aquaculture industry.Joseph was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Robinson, of Crested Butte, Colo. and Emily Jedzinak, of Vero Beach; son, Zachary Jedzinak, of Vero Beach; mother, Josephine Jedzinak, of Vero Beach; brother, John E. Jedzinak, of Suffern, N.Y.; two sisters, Pauline Brawley, of Cranford, N.J., and Irene Hrynyk, of Vero Beach; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane S. Jedzinak and father, John F. Jedzinak.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A funeral mass will be at St. Helen Catholic Church on Friday, June 19 at 10 a.m. with military honors provided by the US Army following.
Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501st Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, in memory of Mr. Jedzinak.
