Franklyn P. Collins, 68, of Vero Beach, died June 23, 2009, at home. He was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., and lived in Vero Beach since 1994, coming from Homestead.
He served in the Army Special Forces. He was a retired electrician. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, the Italian-American Club and the Eagles.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Mary Louise; daughters, Christine McCarty, of Palm Bay, and Catherine Extine, of Springfield, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.
