Robert L. Hale, Jr., 56, Sebastian

April 22, 1968 – November 12, 2024

Robert L. Hale, Jr., 56, of Sebastian went to our Lord Jesus on Tuesday, November 12th, with his family and friends by his side.

Rob was born to Janet and the late Robert Hale, Sr. on April 22, 1968 at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. He grew up with his Air Force family in Florida, Maryland and Vermont.

In 1987, after graduating from Colchester High School in Vermont he moved to Florida. He started his own business, Hale’s Home Services. Eventually employed by Graces Landing where he worked the last 16 years.

Rob enjoyed his home and loved his dog Buddy who shared his birthday. He was an avid Harley biker, a fisherman and sportsman. He also liked reading, moves and relaxing at home.

He is survived by his mother, Janet Hale of Sebastian, sisters Sheree Hale of Palm Bay, Cindy and Norm Brault of Willistan, Vermont and nephew Michael and Faith, and great nephew Micah, of Willistan, Vermont, and many cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.

His celebration of Life will be December 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace’s Landing.

Maria T. Marrero, 90, Sebastian

September 16, 1934 – November 14, 2024

Maria T. Marrero, 90, of Sebastian, Florida, died Thursday, November 14th with her family by her side.

She was born to the late Felipe and Trinidad Santiago on September 16, 1934, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.  She married Jose M. Marrero in 1953 in Puerto Rico and they later lived together in Brooklyn, New York before relocating to Sebastian Florida in 2016. Maria completed her high school education in New York and attended Manhattan College.

Maria was a devoted wife and homemaker. Her entire life was dedicated to her children and her extended family.  She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe church in Fellsmere until she became ill.

Maria is survived by her husband Jose, her daughters Maritza Marrero DeLeon of Vero Beach, Josefina  (Raul) Cuevas, Cruz (Elias) Cuevas of Sebastian.  She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Alejandro Cuevas, Rolando (Grace) Cuevas, Jessica (Pablo) Cuevas-Gonzalez, Jose Luis (Mackenzie) DeLeon, Dr. Jennifer DeLeon (Clement) Marmorat of Virginia and Maria Rosa (Max Polun) DeLeon of New Jersey and 8 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th from 11am – 2:30 pm at Seawinds Funeral Home.  A religious service will be held at 1:00 pm and an internment will be at Sebastian Cemetery at 2:30 pm.

Randy D. Kocher, 78, Sebastian

October 20, 1946 – November 16, 2024

Randy D Kocher, 78 of Sebastian died peacefully on Saturday, November 16 at the Sebastian Hospital.  Randy was born to the late Harold and Elizabeth Kocher of Danielsville, PA on October 20, 1946.

Randy has been married to his wife Linda Kocher for 41 years.  They lived in Warrington, PA and Fort Lauderdale, Fl.  They have lived in Sebastian for over 35 years.

Randy graduated from his beloved PENN STATE.  Upon graduating, he was hired by Mack Trucks in the Finance Department.  Upon relocating to Ft. Lauderdale, Randy was Vice President of Finance with Tracor Marine.  Randy is best known in the area for being the proud owner of Randy’s Trophies and Tees on US# for 20+ years.  Upon selling the business he and his wife Linda opened Logo.Sew Embroidery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.

Timothy Charles (Tim) Kenney, 68, Sebastian

May 30 1956 – November 16 2024

Timothy Charles (Tim) Kenney, 68 of Sebastian, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Pelican Landing Memory Care. He was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Broward County to parents Harry M. and Dorothy (Sandahl) Kenney. Tim graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School (Flying L) in 1975 and became a member of Elks Club #2407. He married Jane Virginia Elly Frenzel in 1984 and was married for 40 years.

Those that knew Tim knew his passion for sailing, air boating, dirt biking, remote helicopter flying, fishing, gun collecting and Budweiser. He was an Ironworker welder in his early work career and after moving to Roswell, Georgia in 1993, he started his own company, Design Metal, Inc. He worked long and hard days to provide for his family and to pay for the cost of his hobbies. Retired in 2017 and moved back to Florida with Jane and their dog, Emma.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael J. Kenney. He is survived by his devoted wife Jane, his two sons Sean Kenney and Steven Kenney and his grandson William Kenney; his brother, Kevin P. Kenney; sister Patricia Langer and her husband Keith; sister Bonnie Cann; also nieces Lisa Cann, Jessica (Richey) Prout and Bree (Langer) Costa; nephews Ryan Kenney, Chris Kenney and Eric Richey and cousins Lynn Sandahl and Mike Kenney.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. A notification will be provided once confirmed.

Barbara H. Rigo, 74, Sebastian

March 16, 1950 – November 17, 2024

Barbara H. Rigo, aged 74, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on November 17, 2024, at her home. Born on March 16, 1950, in East Orange, New Jersey, Barbara was the beloved wife of Raymond G. Rigo and devoted mother of Raymond G. Rigo Jr. She was a cherished friend to all who knew her.

Barbara was known for her kindness, warmth, and generosity, and she touched the lives of many with her loving and caring nature. A devoted wife and mother, Barbara always put her family first, creating a home filled with love and warmth. She was also an active member of her community, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

One of Barbara’s greatest joys was baking, particularly decorating gingerbread houses at Christmas time, a tradition she shared with her family and friends. Her passion for baking and the holiday spirit brought joy and festive cheer to all who were lucky enough to enjoy her creations.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Raymond G. Rigo, and their son, Raymond G. Rigo Jr.

A visitation will be held at Seawinds Funeral Home on November 25, 2024, from 10:30 AM to Noon. A celebration of life will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach on November 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA of Treasure Coast. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the VNA of Treasure Coast for their help and support during Barbara’s final days.

Barbara will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, strength, and the many ways she enriched the lives of those around her.
