Rosemary Hill, 56, Vero Beach
Rosemary Hill, 56, of Vero Beach, passed away Dec. 3, 2020 at home. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Vero Beach from Pasadena, Maryland.
Rosemary was a graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
She retired from banking in 2015, after 22 years.
Rosemary was a member of First Baptist Church, Vero Beach, often volunteering at their homeless clothing room.
Survivors include her husband, Jonnie Hill; son, Joshua Johnson of Vero Beach; daughter, Michelle Hill of Glen Burnie, MD; mom, Margaret Davis of Morgantown, West Virginia; Michelle Lindsey of Morgantown; Joe Mosca of Morgantown; and 3 grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. – 12:15, with a 12:15 service to follow on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will immediately follow at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach. *** Masks will be required to be worn at all times, at funeral home and cemetery. Thank you.***

Douglas Louis Koch, 78, Sebastian
Douglas Louis Koch, age 78, of Sebastian, FL, passed away Dec. 4, 2020.
He was born in Norwood, Massachusetts, and moved to Sebastian from Marstons Mills, MA.
Douglas retired from Woolworth’s after 25 years of service. He enjoyed working in the hotel business on Cape Cod prior to retiring to Florida.
Survivors include his four daughters, Dawn Fronduto of Sebastian, Dana Burnham of West Barnstable, MA, Diane Black of Vero Beach and Debra Koch of Sebastian; two sisters, Carol Jarvis of Foxboro, MA, and Gail Koch of Walpole, MA; six grandchildren, and one great-granchild.
Douglas was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Betsy Binder Koch, who passed in July of 2018.
Services will be held in the Spring.

Lynn Beatty Lindsey, 72, Vero Beach
Lynn Beatty Lindsey, 72, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on Dec. 28, 1947 to the late Byron and Colleen Beatty. After a long battle with cancer, she peacefully went to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2020 at home with her husband and family by her side.
Her family moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1958, to manage the family’s citrus acreage.
Lynn graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1966, where she met the love of her life, husband of 45 years, Bobby Lindsey.
Alongside her husband, Lynn spent the early years of their marriage working tirelessly to help build the family business from the ground up. She juggled managing the office, with raising their children and taking care of their home. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a strong businesswoman. Somehow, she also found time to dedicate many hours to children’s and women’s programs at the First Baptist Church and never missed an extracurricular activity for her children.
From humble beginnings to the opportunity to travel with their family and friends, Lynn and her beloved husband shared a lifetime of experiences. She enjoyed trips to the Bahamas on their boat, family ski trips, destinations from Alaska to western Europe and countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, and historical landmarks across the country. In her later years, what she enjoyed most was spending holidays with family and friends at their farm in Georgia.
She was a quiet force, but without a doubt the heart and Matriarch of her family. Her impact was far and wide, as she touched the lives of everyone who crossed her path. She devoted her life to taking care of her family, and nothing brought her more joy than having a crowded table to feed.
Everybody who walked into her home was welcomed by her gracious smile and the smell of delicious food being prepared in her kitchen. She will be remembered most by her contagious laugh, gracious hospitality, honest guidance, and genuine love she so freely gave.
Lynn is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby Lindsey; their five children, Eddie (Sissy) Hartsell, Rodney Hartsell, Robb (Michelle) Lindsey, Julie (Matt) Kastensmidt, and Ralna (Matt) Reel; their fifteen grandchildren who were the lights of her life, Matthew (Sarah) Hartsell, Hannah (Joey) Sheppard, Alec Hartsell, Andrew Hartsell, Madison Hartsell, Trey Lindsey, Dustin Lindsey, Hailey Lindsey, Hunter Kastensmidt, Lindsey Kastensmidt, Cade Kastensmidt, Aubrey Reel, Brady Reel, Paige Reel, and Caroline Reel. She was the oldest of five children and survived by her siblings; Donna Williams, Myra (Steve) Chisholm, Butch Beatty, and Betty (Dave) Beatty-Hunter, all of Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA of the Treasure Coast Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Genesis Church of Vero Beach.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020 from 2:00p.m. – 3:00p.m. at Central Assembly Vero Beach. A service will begin at 3:00p.m. immediately following visitation.
Lynn was the consummate hostess of literally hundreds of events at her home. The family is honoring her with the first event she will not have to work tirelessly to host, so please join us immediately after the service for a festive, relaxed BBQ at the home of Bobby and Lynn Lindsey as we honor her beautiful life.
