Indian River County added 30 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, according to the Florida Department of Health dashboard. This raises the total number of county cases to 3,392, while the death toll remained at 119.

The new Indian River County cases can be found on the health department’s state linelist. Health officials said 59 out of the 119 deaths were at long-term care facilities.

The long-term care facilities with COVID-19 cases can be found here. Health officials also released the names of facilities with COVID-19 deaths.

There have been 319 people hospitalized for COVID-19 in Indian River County, health officials said. The number of hospitalizations and county cases are both cumulative.

There were 11 people still hospitalized as of Thursday, health officials said.

For the Indian River County cases among residents, 1,842 were white, 397 were black, 361 were listed as “other” and 765 were listed as “unknown.”

There have been 38,010 total tests completed in Indian River County, with 3,392 testing positive and 34,595 testing negative. The testing figures account for residents and non-residents.

Statewide, the number of cases increased to 726,013. The number of deaths among residents and non-residents increased to 15,254.

Indian River County added 16 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, along with one new death, according to the Florida Department of Health dashboard. This raises the total number of county cases to 3,362, while the death toll increased to 119.

The new Indian River County death is:

  • A 98-year-old woman with no travel history, but who had known contact with an infected person. The woman’s case was counted Aug. 8.

The new Indian River County cases can be found on the health department’s state linelist. Health officials said 59 out of the 119 deaths were at long-term care facilities.
