Lonnie Allen Plunk, 55, Vero Beach
September 04, 1970 ~ June 17, 2026
Lonnie Allen Plunk, age 55, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by family and close friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 4, 1970, in Decatur, Georgia, Allen lived a life marked by determination, integrity, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He faced every challenge with grace and strength, qualities that became even more evident during his final years.
Allen built an extraordinary career spanning more than three decades as a technology and healthcare executive. A respected leader and innovator, he helped build and grow organizations that transformed healthcare services across the United States and around the world. Colleagues knew him as a visionary leader, trusted mentor, and problem solver whose impact extended far beyond the companies he served. While he was proud of his professional accomplishments, he was most proud of the relationships he built and the people he helped along the way.
But Allen’s greatest accomplishment was never found in a boardroom or business plan. It was found in the love he shared with his family and friends. Allen believed life was meant to be experienced, and he and Dana embraced every opportunity to see the world together. Their travels took them to beautiful places, but it was the companionship, laughter, and shared experiences that made each journey special. Those adventures filled their lives with stories, memories, and a bond that grew stronger with every mile.
Allen was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He loved deeply and gave generously of himself. He was the person people turned to for advice, encouragement, and steady support. Whether through his wisdom, his sense of humor, or simply his presence, Allen had a way of making people feel valued and cared for.
Those who knew Allen will remember his strength, his intelligence, his kindness, and his remarkable ability to remain calm in the face of adversity. Even during his illness, he demonstrated courage and resilience that inspired everyone around him. He taught those who loved him how to face life’s hardest moments with dignity and grace.
Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Dana Leshley, with whom he shared 13 years of marriage; his children, Bailey Plunk, Ryan Plunk and Ciena Leshley( Dana Leshley); his Mother, Linda Grimes Plunk and Father, Lonnie Albert Plunk; Sister, Lisa East(Jeff East) and many other family members, friends, and colleagues who were blessed to know him.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the physicians, nurses, hospice caregivers, friends, and loved ones who provided comfort, compassion, and support throughout Allen’s journey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 1, 2026. Time and location to be announced at a later date. Rather than sending flowers, Allen wished for donations to be made to H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue (Donate Now | H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue) . He proudly supported the organization through volunteer work, and one of his greatest joys was adopting his beloved Molly from H.A.L.O. Honoring his memory through a donation would continue the work he cared about so deeply and help other animals find the loving homes they deserve.
Though Allen’s presence will be profoundly missed, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the example he set for all who knew him. He will be remembered not for the years cancer took from him, but for the life he lived, the love he gave, and the difference he made in this world.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.

Through life’s many ups and downs, he remained a source of strength. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched countless lives, and he will be remembered not for his grand achievements, but for the way he made people feel loved, welcomed, and valued.
Brian was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Kathleen Flynn; his father, Joseph Flynn; his brother, Dennis Flynn his Aunt Betty Cheverie, his uncle James Kelley, his grandfather Thomas Kelley and his grandmother Velma Kelley, It brings comfort to the family to know they were waiting with open arms to welcome him home.
He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever, including his sister, Kelley Vallee and her husband, Peter; his sister, Kathleen Flynn and her wife, Ashley; his brother, Matthew Flynn; his cousin Tommy Kelley, his brother James Flynn, his brother Shaun Flynn, his son Tyler Flynn, his niece, Catherine Vallee his nephew, Christopher Solimini, his aunt, Maryann Tierney and her husband, Tim; his cousin, Shane Tierney; along with many other beloved brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and his dear best friend Chris Rustay and wife Natalie whose lives were enriched simply by knowing him.
Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we are grateful for the love, laughter, loyalty, and strength he shared so freely. His memory will continue to live on in the stories we tell, the lessons he taught us, and the love he leaves behind.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, Florida. The compassion, dignity, and care shown to Brian and his family during his final days will forever touch our hearts, and we remain deeply grateful for the comfort and support they provided.
