What and Where: For years, the Riverside Café has been a great place to squeeze in a tasty early dinner before scooting across Riverside Park to catch a play at Riverside Theatre. And with its 35 big TV screens, it’s also a super spot on fall Saturdays and Sundays to cheer on your favorite football team.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: Lively bar with good food & entertainment.
Must-Try Dishes: The calamari vesuvio appetizer is a favorite.
Adult Beverages: Full bar. Short but OK wine list.
Reservations: First come, first serve
Price: $$
Rating: Three stars
Overall Verdict: While Riverside Café offers a number of attractions besides food, the food here is pretty darned good as well. The seafood is reliably delicious, and on a recent visit, the fresh grouper entree and the steamed middle neck clams were excellent. This is one of the better casual places in 32963, and if good weather permits dining outside on the deck overlooking the lagoon, there is no better river view on the island. Plus, you can even come here by boat!
