As they have done for seven and one-half decades, thousands of art lovers descended on one of the island’s most beautiful venues, Riverside Park, to enjoy an almost overwhelming assemblage of artworks at the Vero Beach Art Club’s iconic Under the Oaks Fine Arts and Crafts Festival.

It was the 75th anniversary of Under the Oaks, considered one of the most prestigious art shows in the country, and a beloved Vero Beach tradition. That 2026 is also the 90th anniversary of the Vero Beach Art Club made it even more special.

More than 200 exceptionally gifted artists had been juried into the event, each displaying incredible works in a breathtaking variety of media.

Rows of white tents lined the broad pathways, arranged to display each artist’s work at its compelling best, creating a dazzling array of art, from paintings and woodworks to ceramics, glass and jewelry.

Visitors made sure to wander through the entire show, crisscrossing the winding sun-dappled pathways, exploring the diverse works, stopping to chat with the artists and, frequently, acquiring wonderful treasures to bring home.

With 75 years of experience, Art Club members run this highly anticipated event with impressive skill and precision, the result of a whiz-bang crew of volunteers, well-chosen vendors, and the assistance of local law enforcement for traffic flow support.

Calling the event “phenomenal” and “fantastic,” Paulette Visceglia, Under the Oaks event chair, expressed gratitude for the support of everyone involved in the highly successful show.

“We had over $1 million in sales,” said Visceglia, adding that a record-breaking 60,000 visitors had attended during the show’s three-day run.

The Vero Beach Art Club Gallery and Marketplace is located on 14th Avenue in Vero’s vibrant downtown arts district. A new themed exhibit is hung every six weeks; the Big Bold & Beautiful exhibit runs April 8 to May 11.
