Vero Beach, FL — Community leaders and supporters of adult education will gather on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Bent Pine Golf Club Clubhouse as Literacy Services of Indian River County (LSIRC) hosts its annual Love of Literacy Luncheon. The event highlights student achievement and the transformative power of literacy in Indian River County.
The luncheon will feature a special program recognizing LSIRC’s Students of the Year, honoring their perseverance, growth, and commitment to achieving their educational goals. Their stories reflect the life-changing impact of literacy and English language education in the community.
The program also features guest speaker Dawn Tripp, nationally bestselling author of Jackie and Georgia. Tripp’s presentation will offer meaningful insight into storytelling, resilience, and the power of voice. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase autographed copies of her books during the event, provided by the Vero Beach Book Center.
The luncheon includes a prepared meal for all attendees and provides an inviting setting for guests to connect while supporting adult learners in the community.
Proceeds from the Love of Literacy Luncheon directly support LSIRC’s free adult literacy and English language programs. The nonprofit provides customized one-on-one tutoring, small group classes, family literacy initiatives, and workforce readiness support to help adults build the skills they need to achieve their goals and thrive in the community.
Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to reserve a seat or serve as a sponsor to support adult learners across Indian River County.
