Don’t Miss November 8 at the VBMA—This Second Saturday is Replete with Art, Music, Film, Activities, and Free Admission for All Ages!

VERO BEACH, FL—Don’t miss Saturday, November 8, a free admission day at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, and rich celebration of the new Double Portraits photography exhibition (opens October 25) with mini-tours, sketching in the gallery, and artmaking in the studios. Visitors will also enjoy a film screening of F11 and Be There, the Emmy Award-winning documentary about the legendary American photojournalist Burk Uzzlethe youngest photographer ever hired by Life magazinethat chronicles his decades-long exploration of American identity through the lens of his camera.

The special Second Saturday also features a Once Upon an Orchestra performance of Pinocchio by the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, and free admission to the highly acclaimed Picasso and the Progressive Proof: Linocut Prints from a Private Collection and Recent Acquisition Highlights exhibitions.

  • Celebrate the recent opening of the Double Portraits (Holmes Gallery) with mini tours and Sketching in the Galleries led by museum docents from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. 
  • Get creative with family artmaking activities in the Museum Studios from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. This month’s theme is Seeing Double.
  • Delight as the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra’s woodwind quintet performs Pinocchio at 11 a.m. in the Leonhardt Auditorium. The family-friendly concert runs about 45 minutes and is designed with our youngest guests in mind. After the performance, children can learn about woodwind instruments at the instrument petting zoo.
  • At 1:30 p.m., watch F11 and Be There and witness America and American history through the lens of legendary photographer Burk Uzzle. Doors open at 1 p.m. This film is not rated. Parental guidance is suggested due to mature content.
  • Take in the Recent Acquisition Highlights (Titelman and Schumann Galleries) and Picasso and the Progressive Proof: Linocut Prints from a Private Collection (Stark Gallery) exhibitions.

Admission and programming are free on November 8, 2025. Registration is not required.
