Gallery 14 welcomes Ilene Gruber Adams with a show entitled: The Secret Journey-Abstract Realms: Paintings by Ilene Gruber Adams. The exhibit will run from October 1 – 31. There will be a Reception with the artist in attendance on Friday October 3, 5-8pm, as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll. Ilene holds a BFA from Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Pennsylvania, and also studied with renowned artist Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. To quote Ilene: “In my artistic journey abstract expression takes center stage. Through bold color, layered texture, and intuitive form, I create immersive works that blur the line between reality and imagination.” Her artistic endeavors have been diverse, ranging from dramatic paintings of birds, designing textiles, creating murals, graphic design, and web design. All these influences are beautifully woven into her art, which uses vibrant colors to convey emotion, tell stories, and inspire change.
Featured, as well, will be watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media, assemblage, collage, sculpture, art glass, ceramic, and jewelry by Gallery 14 owners-artists: Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Mary Ann Hall, Barbara Landry, Jessica Leto, Deborah Morrell Polackwich, Dorothy Napp Schindel and Evan Schwarze, as well as represented artists Walford Campbell, Jim Cohoe, Melanie Denison, Joan Earnhart, Mia Lindberg, Francis Mesaros, Michael Robinson, and Jo Zaza.
