Stepping into the oceanfront condo at 4800 Highway A1A #407 in Seaquay is like stepping onto the beach. The foyer leads to a hallway that draws you toward the expansive ocean views, visible through a series of sliders across the rear wall of the condo. It’s like having the beach at your doorstep.

“I fell in love with the views. Looking at the beautiful sunrise and the turquoise ocean and the pier,” says owner Patti Malinowski. “It’s a nice quiet beach; and when I look at that view, I feel like I’m on a Caribbean vacation.”

“Seaquay is in one of the most desirable areas in town, and this unit has a direct oceanfront view of the pier. It looks like a postcard,” says broker associate Kristin Dobson with the O’Dare Boga Dobson Group at ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

Contrasting the beach view with peeks of the Indian River to the west, where the Village Beach Market is located, Malinowski continues, “I feel like I’m living in town. Looking in that direction also has beautiful sunset views. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Seaquay is a distinctive, six-tower condominium complex featuring the only oceanside dock on the island. This local landmark is a favorite spot for photographers eager to capture waves crashing against its pilings, especially at sunrise.

There are only three units per floor, accessible via secure elevators with a keycard. Malinowski’s unit has two reserved spots in the underground parking garage, and guests can call from the telephone near the elevator so you can buzz them up.

Malinowski says she loves the privacy and the added measure of security with a guard stationed inside the building.

The guest bedroom and bathroom that doubles as a powder room are located just off the foyer, creating a bit of division and privacy for guests. Here, the owner has enclosed the sunset balcony and uses the flexible space as an office and workout room, expanding the usable living area of the condo.

The laundry room is conveniently located between the guest hallway and kitchen, with pocket doors on either side for easy access. In addition to this convenience, Malinowski says that the closets throughout are quite large, creating plenty of storage space.

The foyer hallway leads to the kitchen on the right. A bar-height breakfast bar creates a definitive space between the kitchen and dining area without diminishing the view. A pantry with pullout drawers and an appliance garage keeps the open-concept kitchen organized. Stainless-steel appliances, a tray ceiling with inset crown molding, under-counter lighting, granite countertops and shaker-style cabinetry embrace the understated elegance of the unit’s coastal vibe.

The dining room with its chandelier is conveniently located between the living room and kitchen, making it easy for the hostess to take part in the entertainment. The mirrored, dry bar with a beverage fridge is easily accessible when entertaining, so guests can enjoy a drink in the adjacent living room while taking in mesmerizing ocean views.

French doors from the living room lead to the spacious primary suite where sliding glass doors open onto the covered, oceanfront balcony. The sound of the waves lulls you to sleep at night, and the boundless sky greets you with the sunrise in the morning. It’s also a great place to watch dramatic storms over the ocean.

The light and airy bathroom in the primary suite boasts a walk-in closet with two doors, a roomy, elongated countertop with dual sinks, a built-in vanity and a large walk-in shower with frosted-glass doors.

The expansive covered balcony spans the full width of the condo and offers stunning 180-degree ocean views along the coastline. With ample room for dining and lounging, it’s a front-row seat to all things sand and sea – the perfect place to start your day with coffee and sunrise, relax with a midday snack in the ocean breeze, or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine as the waves gently roll in.

Resort-like amenities are plentiful at Seaquay, making the most of beachfront living. They include an oceanside swimming pool and fitness center, sun deck, outdoor shower, grill area, club room with catering kitchen, library, card rooms, meeting rooms, shuffleboard, private fishing pier, ocean access and seawall.

“I love the amenities,” says Malinowski.

Seaquay has onsite property management, offers direct ocean frontage, and is within walking distance of a guarded public beach, Jaycee Park, the Village Beach Market, and a wealth of seaside shopping and dining in Vero’s island village. Riverside Park, the Municipal Marina, the Vero Beach Dog Park, Riverside Theatre and Vero Beach Museum of Art are a short drive away.
