Newcomer Vos, incumbents Moore and Carroll win Vero City Council seats

VERO BEACH — Aaron Vos, a newcomer in the political arena, won a seat on the Vero Beach City Council in Tuesday’s general election. Vos will take the seat vacated by former council member Tracey Zudans.

Vos led with 22 percent of the votes, compared to opponents Brian Heady with 11 percent and Ken Daige with 16 percent, according to the unofficial results from the Supervisor of Elections’ Website. Incumbents Linda Moore and John M. Carroll Jr. retained their council seats, with Moore garnering 27 percent of votes and Carroll getting 22 percent.

Vos held a watch party at 21st Amendment Distillery located in downtown Vero Beach. Moore held a watch party at Kilted Mermaid, a popular city restaurant that she co-owns.

Vos, Moore and Carroll will be sworn in at 10 a.m. Nov. 18 inside the Vero Beach City Council chambers.
