Thousands of people packed Royal Palm Pointe to take part in the 12th Annual Florida Craft Brew and Wingfest hosted by Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach. Bands at either end of the street entertained the masses as they made their way along the numerous booths offering an assortment of craft beers and chicken wings.

The wings had been cooked up by professional and amateur competitors, all hoping to have theirs named the Best Wings in Vero. In the end, a panel of judges, in a blind taste test that considered presentation as well as taste, awarded First Place to The Source’s Dignity Foods team in the restaurant category. Best Independent Chef went to All Smoked Up – Kyle Simons, and Outback Steakhouse won the Spirit Award.
