In Nov. 2023 Gallery 14 Presents “Nuts to Garden Vases: Clay Creations by Jim Cohoe” & “Nature’s Conscience: An Artistic Journey – Paintings by Joshua McMiller
Gallery 14 is happy to present a side by side exhibit of work by ceramicist Jim Cohoe and painter Joshua McMiller. Entitled Nuts to Garden Vases: Clay Creations by Jim Cohoe AND Nature’s Conscience: An Artistic Journey – Paintings by Joshua McMiller, this colorful and diverse dual exhibit will run November 1 – November 24, with a special opening reception on Thursday Nov 2 from 5-8pm sponsored by Panacea Eye Center, and another reception as part of the First Friday Gallery Stroll on Friday Nov 3 from 5-8pm. All are invited.
Jim Cohoe currently lives and works in Vero Beach, FL. Originally a fine art photographer, his photographs gained national recognition. He then spent years studying ceramics and found clay to be his medium of choice. Jim is a founding member of Indian River Clay, has won numerous awards, and was just featured in Treasure Coast Creates at Vero Beach Museum of Art. Also just featured in Treasure Coast Creates, Joshua McMiller, grew up in Birmingham, and began creating art at a very young age. A Studio Art major at the University of Alabama, he then became Brooklyn based before moving to Vero Beach. In describing his eclectic and colorful work, Joshua states: “I focus my pieces on a connection to our spiritual world and the beauty of nature.”
Also featured will be Gallery 14 artist-owners: Lila Blakeslee, Barbara du Pont, Barbara Landry, Mary Ann Hall, Jessica Leto, Deborah Polackwich, Dorothy Napp Schindel, and Evan Schwarze. Also shown are represented artists Walford Campbell, Joan Earnhart, Terry Green, Viola Pace Knudsen, Mia Lindberg, Francis Mesaros, Michael Robinson, and Carol Staub, and artist-sales associate Jo Zaza.
