Ami Brabson, Star of TV and Broadway, to Perform in Vero Beach

Ami Brabson–award-winning actress, singer, and producer—will perform a one-woman show, PHENOMENAL WOMEN – A Cabaret, at 3pm Sunday, March 19, in the Emerson Center. Her performance is a fundraiser for the American Association of University Women, Vero Beach Branch (AAUW Vero Beach), and all proceeds go toward scholarships for young women in Indian River County, FL.

AAUW Vero Beach awards three types of scholarships to deserving young women:

  • High school graduates going on to a college of their choice.
  • Students at Indian River State College who have achieved an AA degree, advancing to BA studies.
  • Students who have graduated from our Economic Opportunities Council’s REACH program and are going on to intensive LPN studies at Treasure Coast Technical College.

PHENOMENAL WOMEN is a dramatic musical celebration of wisdom gained on the winding path to finding the courage to speak your own, personal truth.

Winner of the Connecticut Critics’ Circle Award of Excellence for Outstanding Actress, and with television credits including Law & Order, L&O SVU, Power, Bull, and more, Ami pays tribute to the writers, singers, politicians, and family members who have motivated her along the way. She invites us to take this journey with her — and it couldn’t come at a more opportune time, as our country continues to explore issues of equity, access, race, gender and power.

Come together to celebrate PHENOMENAL WOMEN who make a difference for others, let Ami’s performance remind you of the PHENOMENAL WOMEN in your life, and inspire you to be the phenomenal woman in some girl’s life today!
