Big Art Now Gallery is pleased to announce representation of career artist Maciek Von Ato, a resident of Vero Beach.
Born in Poland, after receiving a Master’s Degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, von Ato soon began exhibiting his artwork throughout Western Europe. With a native Polish cultural sensibility in the graphic design arts and in editorial art poster design, he also founded a graphic design firm.
A decade later he settled in metro New York, and then subsequently in the Philadelphia area, having established an arts career that also included design projects.
By the early 2000s, von Ato was exhibiting paintings in galleries in West Chester, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC.
Combining an open-minded delight of human experience and a whimsical perspective with an awareness of his own dreams and imagination, he creates artwork “for pleasure of mind”.
“A matter of thought just comes to me,” von Ato explains. “I hear something, or see something, and the project begins. The boundaries between reality and imagination blur, exposing a moment in time, a dream, an experience, or merely an observation.”

“I have always tried to create art that has some meaning. Color and shapes are not just intended to cover a canvas, but to tell a story, but not in a realistic way, so that the viewer has an opportunity to use his own imagination”

His artwork is found in private collections throughout Europe, Australia, Japan, and the United States, and currently is on view at Big Art Now gallery in Vero Beach. |
